The Sept. 3, 2026 grand opening of The Bluffs at Carey Station marked the ceremonial completion of years of planning, coordination and construction between Dream Finders Homes and its development partners.
Fortis Siteworks was the civil contractor on the Greene County project, installing the underground infrastructure that made the Lake Oconee community possible. The scope included more than 11,000 linear feet (LF) of sanitary sewer and force main, over 19,000 LF of water line, a pump station and more than 8,500 LF of storm drainage.
Crews also completed mass grading, roadway construction, curb and gutter, and asphalt paving throughout the development. Fortis handled more than 350,000 cubic yards of earthwork across the site.
Fortis worked closely with Dream Finders Homes and the broader project team throughout construction to identify solutions, adjust schedules and keep work progressing. Located on Carey Station Road in Greensboro, The Bluffs at Carey Station offers new housing opportunities in one of Georgia's fastest-growing lake communities. Residents are minutes from Lake Oconee and the area's recreational, dining and retail destinations.
