The new Remedy Medical Office Building in Commerce represents a significant investment in healthcare infrastructure for Jackson County and the growing Interstate 85 corridor. Developed by Remedy Medical Properties in partnership with Piedmont Healthcare, the 31,481-square-foot facility will expand outpatient healthcare services in one of Northeast Georgia's fastest-growing markets.
Fortis Siteworks partnered with Brasfield & Gorrie as the civil contractor on the project, delivering the site infrastructure needed to support the new medical office building. The scope included underground utilities, storm drainage, site grading, erosion control and roadway improvements across the development.
Crews installed more than 1,700 linear feet (LF) of storm drainage, nearly 1,900 LF of water and fire-line infrastructure, and nearly 500 LF of sanitary sewer. The project also included utility jack-and-bore crossings and fire protection infrastructure serving the facility.
Fortis handled nearly 19,000 cubic yards of earthwork, preparing the site for vertical construction and supporting the overall project schedule.
Located along Homer Road near Interstate 85, the medical office building will serve Commerce, Jackson County and the surrounding region for years to come.
