About Fortis

Built on more than 30 years of wet utility expertise. Driven by the people who deliver it.
Fortis Siteworks is part of the Shaifer Companies family of businesses. What started as a water-utility operation more than three decades ago has grown into a sitework and infrastructure contractor with 13 crews operating across Georgia. Fortis self-performs underground utilities, horizontal boring and grading under one company. The people below provide the field leadership, planning and support behind that work.

Our Core Values

Our values create a culture of trust, integrity, and accountability

Dedication

We emphasize an unwavering commitment to family, colleagues, and tasks, producing high-quality results for our company and customers.

Integrity

We are committed to upholding an ethical framework. We pledge to consistently do the right thing, to maintain professionalism, and to act with honesty.

Respect

We prioritize treating others with consideration, dignity, and empathy, fostering an environment of mutual understanding and support.

Safety-Obsessed

We are committed to safety by genuinely caring for the health, safety, and well-being of our team members, customers, communities, and the environment.

Solutions-Driven

We demonstrate leadership through the establishment of high standards, out-of-the box thinking, and owning any task or issue given to us until a satisfactory solution is achieved.

Our Strategy

Wet utilities, horizontal boring and grading are closely connected in the field. Fortis performs those scopes under one company, giving clients one point of contact, one safety program and fewer handoffs from clearing through closeout. Our crews can coordinate schedules, resolve conflicts and respond quickly when site conditions change.
